The texture of this design is softly varied to imitate block printing, where each shape would be placed by hand with the interaction of ink and page creating greater depth.
Consumer goods
This pattern is made with vintage botanical and entomological illustrations in the public domain. Each leaf and beetle is edited to isolate it from its original page/background, then placed by hand to create a seamless repeating pattern.
